Equestrian Newcomers Club

I am a recently retired university professor who has just relocated from Georgia to Stanford, Kentucky. I would like to connect with other equestrians and people, like me, who are newcomers to the area. Kentucky, of course, is horse country and I know that there must be some wonderful equestrian people and parks waiting for me to discover!!

My husband and I have just purchased a small farm and we have pastures that need livestock! I only own one horse and so I am looking for a companion for him too!

I would like to meet someone who also enjoys trail riding and is easy-going and safety conscious. I would be happy to board such a person's horse (or horses)on my property if that is something that would interest him/her.

My hope is to eventually establish a newcomers club where equestrians in the area can meet and socialize together. I was very lucky to have had a group of friends in Georgia who trailed on weekends and enjoyed other social events together.
